French Country Kitchen Islands

This kitchen island is an inspired interpretation of French and American styling that makes a fresh design statement in a casual driftwood finish. A personal favorite, the hammered stainless steel top with pewter nailhead trim is perfect with the driftwood finish. I shopped around for two months before finally making this purchase. It was the last thing to add to my remodeled kitchen and more than I budgeted for. After searching everywhere, I decided to get the island I really wanted! And I’m so glad I did! This piece of furniture is well made and beautifully designed. I love the color is the stainless steel top. It’s a little different than what I expected from the pictures, but perfect with my decor! It’s a substantial piece of furniture. I like the color and I like the dimensions. I wish that it had come in one piece and not had to be put together, but I’m sure it was too big to ship. My only other qualm is the drawers… They’re not soft close and you have to push them in and then give them another hard push to get them to close completely. A true find, this sideboard is one of our curated items which will vary in size due to its antique status. We refurbish and refinish this reclaimed pine sideboard in a lovely robins egg blue which is rubbed through to the honey pine. Within the cabinet is a full width removable shelf. While size may vary slightly, the design impact will always impress.
