I bought these to replace a 10 year old set of Sabatier from bb& beyond. The primary thing I was looking for was non serrated steak knives. These knives are sharp right from the box. I took a piece of printing paper and held it by the edge and used a steak knife to slice it. The knife sliced cleanly through like a razor blade. The rest of the set feel sturdy and with the German steel I feel that this will be a great set. The fact that they tell you the sharpening bevel is also great so there is no guessing when it's time to true up the blades. I feel these knives are a great value for household kitchens.. Anonymous. The box it came in was just cardboard box which I was surprised since it’s a very nice brand. Silverware though came in little plastic foil wrap so it was kind of protected. Also the knives are so sharp I had to put them away from little kids hands but for cutting purposes they are great. The 4-Ply Copper Contemporary Cookware modernizes cooking with copper by making it induction capable. Historically, traditional copper cookware is not induction compatible. The 4-ply construction of the Copper Contemporary provides a cooking base that is induction friendly. The cookware is designed to transfer heat efficiently across the bottom of the pan as well as up the sides thanks to the multi-ply clad construction. The exterior layer is copper for exceptional temperature control. The unexposed core is stainless steel and aluminum to transfer the heat quickly and evenly throughout the pan. The interior cooking surface is a non-reactive surgical grade 304 stainless steel. The benefit of the stainless steel cooking surface is that it will not react with the acids in your food or impart a metal taste to your food. To make the pan induction capable, we remove the copper layer from the bottom of the pan, exposing the stainless steel layer.
