As distinctive as a beautiful Peacock's feathers; no two shades will ever be the same as their individuality can be as remarkably unique as their personality. This artistic creation utilizes swirling opalescent art glass background combinations including Beige Amber; Yellow Pinks; Red Purples; Golden Blues and Greens; Ivories; Bluish Whites; Turquoise Blues; Periwinkle; Olive and Spring Greens; Pale Yellow; Amethyst; Emerald and Topaz. The eye of the plumage design reveals Purples; Pastel Blues; Teals; Cobalt and Ivories. Individual pieces of glass are hand cut and wrapped using Meyda Tiffany's famous copperfoil construction. Each shade is a unique work of art with color variations based on natural ingredients inherent in the glass.

Sparkling Nutmeg bands circle the top and bottom of the shade and cast dragonflies on the base dance around a Sky Blue glass mosaic inlay on the hand finished Mahogany Bronze base.

These are solid, heavy lamps. The base is wide enough to support the shade---no chance of them tipping over (I was worried about that!). LOVELY design. Beautiful glow with low wattage bulb on one side, bright enough to read with a bigger wattage in the other one. Packaging was OVER THE TOP. My only complaint is that I was under the impression (and this is one of the reasons I purchased these lamps), that they were made in USA...only to find a "made in China" sticker on the bottom of the lamp :( :(. Very unique... I spend time staring at it...I am messing around with different types of bulbs. The light creates a spiral spiderlike pattern on the ceiling with two or three red spots that look like eyes.
