Ammonite Fossils

Ptychopariida is a large, heterogeneous order of trilobite containing some of the most primitive species known. The earliest species occurred in the second half of the Lower Cambrian period. Trilobites have facial sutures that run along the margin of the glabella and/or fixigena to the shoulder point where the cephalon meets the thorax. These sutures outline the cranidium or the main, central part of the head that does not include the librigena (free cheeks).

This luxurious sculpture is a bold pairing of two natural elements that make for a wildly chic accent piece. The natural horn has a matte finish and is distinctive when paired with its brass base, transforming it into a sculptural art piece.

Trilobites, an early arthropod relative of spiders, horseshoe crabs, and scorpions, preserved in this level of detail only occurred as a result of very sudden underwater landslides called turbidite sequences, which ravaged the early earth when the continents were still very much on the move. The contorted body positions of the trilobites demonstrate a final fight against being buried alive. This is an extremely ornamented member of the trilobites' extremely well-known and globally distributed Lichid family. These trilobites have adapted for extreme defensiveness. Their long genal appendages afford them controlled escape from the water column, and they used them to sink to the ocean floor mimicking falling organic debris to escape predators. The stalked eyes, which evolved several separate times in the trilobite lineage, afforded greater lookout ability through they still maintain their compound lenses.

This blown glass sea shell is the perfect unexpected accent to any décor. From traditional to coastal, this piece is the perfect stunning addition to any seashell collection.

Beautiful piece. Barbara. Holyoke, MA. Wed Jul 22 2026

A beautiful piece of functional decor, this Domino Set is anything but ordinary. The domino pieces are real, white bone with black dots, and their case is made from fragments of bone that have been shaped into tiles and inlaid by hand to create a rich mosaic look. Place on a side table, coffee table, or bar top for decor that also functions as a classic game to thrill guests.

It is laid out nice and prone with excellent detail including visible eye facets in both eyes.Trilobites are an extinct class of marine arthropods that thrived for nearly 270 million years, from the early Cambrian to the end of the Permian period (around 521 to 252 million years ago). They are one of the most successful and diverse groups in the history of life. Known for their distinctive, segmented exoskeletons, trilobites provide invaluable insights into the evolutionary history of arthropods and the dynamics of ancient marine ecosystems.Weight: 1.5 lbs, Size: 6.5 x 2 x 4 inches

Creating a sculpture from an innovative material that looks like an artifact is no small feat. Making it so interesting that it will look just as smashing in a contemporary home as it will in a traditional one is even more of a challenge. The fact that we’ve lived up to both is why we say that the ethos of the Phillips collection brand is modern and organic. Made of composite in a charcoal stone finish, the colossal charcoal stone C cast stone sculpture will convincingly declare you’ve snapped it up from an archaeological dig and placed it in that perfect spot to make a statement. We offer a number of sculptures and seats in our Formations collection, each of which is weather-worthy for placing out of doors.

Rock quartz points and rose quartz make up this petite ball. It sits loosely on a crystal cube. It is the perfect small embellishment for a tablescape.

Loved it!!!. Marcia. Dove Canyon, CA. Thu Apr 23 2026

This alien-looking trilobite, known as Ceratarges ziregensis, has a strikingly otherworldly appearance. It's difficult to believe that this creature once roamed the ancient seas.
