This is an expensive toaster and so far I am considering a return. The wires do not all light up, and the inside are dimmer than the outside wires, as if it were set on Bagel, when it is not. I had to turn the setting to 2 and the toast is darker than it should be. also, the outside of the toaster is not cool touch and gets pretty hot. So far I am disappointed.

It is such a nice toaster, best one I've ever owned. Love the settings and the warmer basket. It's a very solid piece.
