There are many reviews and comments on the web about the exterior Georgian knob not fitting and/or falling off. I had the same problem where the knob would not snap in place per the instructions. Schlage customer service deduced it was defective and directed me to return for a replacement, which I did. The replacement had the same problem. After playing around w/ the replacement for a good amount of time, I discovered that the notch at the base of the knob collar is not deep enough to allow the knob retaining pin to retract fully so that the knob can be pushed into place. This is easily fixed by simply filing the notch a few mm deeper. See photo (photo is interior knob but same issue.) Its a nice lock but no more than 3 stars -- should probably be less -- for Schlage putting out a defective product.

I am an AirBnB host and this makes my job so much easier! Im done with keys forever. The color was browner and less black than I expected but still works perfectly. Worth the extra money to be keyless.
