Although beautiful and seemingly a quality product upon first inspection (weight and appearance) this product proved troublesome from the start. The installation required some specialized retrofitting to install. The knob has become tight and difficult to turn on the interior. Occasionally, the latch does not actually latch (it's main purpose) and our door swings open randomly. Most recently, one of the plate screws simply snapped and broke off (for no reason other than it did...what kind of repetitive stress use could a plate screw endure?) leaving most of the screw embedded in the plate/door and the head on my front porch. This is from eight months of use. After all the fast talking I had to do to convince my husband to invest in this extravagant (for us) door hardware, I am never going to hear the end of this.
