I bought this to match some of the original deco knobs and plates I have in my house. While it doesn't match exactly, it is close enough that you have to look hard to see the differences. I also replaced the existing door and with a pre-hung, pre-drilled door and was very grateful that this didn't require a complete new mortise setup. I was able to install the door knob easily and it looks great.
