The Mantel looks like it does in the picture. I have a newly built house and I wanted to upgrade the fireplace from a builders grade to this beautiful mantel . It looks very nice. It really helped enhanced the look for my living room. There was a slight problem with some of the materials being damage(the surrounding pieces that goes with the mantel), although the package was delivered by a white glove carrier crew. Wayfair handled the situation. I definitely recommend this mantel.

Looks great but one of the sides doesn’t meet the top the right way so where the top and the side meet the side sticks out a little further than the top. (See pic) The other side is even with the top but kicks in a bit (couldn’t get a pic that would show up). Not a deal breaker but for the price I would’ve hoped it was constructed perfectly. Other than that the finish is smooth and looks exactly like the picture online. WE HAVE NOT COMPLETED THE INSTALL YET. I also feel it’s worth mentioning that I stayed home for delivery (as delivery required someone to be home) on 3 different occasions before it was actually delivered which made me less than happy.

I love this mantel surround. We were able to cut the legs to fit the fireplace. It is a huge upgrade for our living room.
