Joints are not cleanly done, but close enough. I filled the joints, primed and painted over the mantel.

Love this mantle! I ordered the paint grade mantle but it was solid wood and beautiful. So we didn’t paint it!

Packaging could be much better for weight & fragility of product. I was very worried when box arrived with lots of damage to it. But after unpacking, the product was fine. Just feel the could use softer & more Styrofoam. Assembly looks straight forward but havent done it yet as fireplace remodel is behind schedule (go figure, lol ‍♂️). Think once its put together & added to the fireplace wall it will really finish it off.

Not installed yet its for my new home, but it is out of the box and is beautiful, wood tone is exactly like the picture. Will send update on e installed
