The leather is not at all as shown. It’s more like the crumbly inside of a suede jacket. It’s 100% brown, no black at all, and it’s just more like unfinished leather instead of the distressed/worn/cracked leather that’s advertised. Also, unfortunately, it’s extremely hard/uncomfortable and the low back doesn’t help since you can’t really add pillows to make it more comfortable. I should have returned it, but with the size of it, that seemed like too much of a hassle

Wow. Truly amazing way better looking in person. A warn brown with dark black undertones. Textured and soft. What a great addition. Dont hesistate if your wondering. Really comfy sit and really grabs your eye with it's look and texture. So happy with this purchase and delivery was smooth and fast with great communication by Perigold.

While I love the style and the solid construction, I am very disappointed in the leather. We purchased the destroyed Black leather, expecting the cracked uneven texture, however, it came looking like suede, brown suede! Not cracked and looking like old, weathered leather, but every inch of it is like suede. Incredibly disappointed. Unfortunately, we had a family health crisis so I didn’t have a chance to try for a return/replacement.

Slightly different than what I thought it was but I absolutely love it.
