Ermelunden is a garden furniture series designed by Borge Mogensen in 1965. The name is taken from a small forest in Gentofte, close to where the designer lived. Intended as a stationary arrangement, the series reflects Mogensen's commitment to high functionality; it is no coincidence that he gave Ermelunden wide feet to prevent the legs from sinking into the grass. Mogensen was so pleased with the design that he chose to feature it in both his private garden in Gentofte and his holiday home near Limfjorden in central Jutland.
