Ermelunden is a garden furniture series designed by Børge Mogensen in 1965. The name is taken from a small forest in Gentofte, located near the designer's home. Intended as a stationary furniture arrangement, the series reflects Mogensen's commitment to high functionality. It is no coincidence that he gave the Ermelunden pieces wide feet to prevent the legs from sinking into the grass. Mogensen was so pleased with the design that he featured the series in his private garden in Gentofte as well as at his holiday home near Limfjorden in central Jutland.
