It's beautiful. Big and heavy. I like it.. Brian. Wed Nov 08 2023

Made from worn oak, this grand-scale desk meets stately presence with antique-inspired character. Wood's cracks and graining craft a storied look, while built-in drawers bring storage to the modern office.

LOVE THIS DESK! I AM USING IT AS A CENTRAL TABLE IN OUR FAMILY LIBRARY/OFFICE. DEFINITELY CAN ACCOMMODATE MULTIPLE PEOPLE SITTING AT IT AT ONE TIME AND LOVE THAT IT OFFERS THE DRAWERS TO STILL BE USED FUNCTIONALLY AS A DESK. HONESTLY, IT IS SUBSTANTIAL ENOUGH THAT YOU COULD USE IT AS A KITCHEN TABLE IF DESIRED. THE DETAIL OF THE WOODGRAIN IS BEAUTIFUL AND THE COLOR IS JUST PERFECT. THERE WAS A SLIGHT ISSUE WITH ONE OF THE SCREWS, NOT BEING ABLE TO THREAD THE BASE CONNECTOR BAR IN COMPLETELY, AND THE INSTALLER SUBMITTED A REPAIR TICKET FOR IT PRIOR TO LEAVING AND PERIGOLD REACHED OUT TO ME DIRECTLY TO LET ME KNOW THAT THEY WERE SENDING A COMPLETELY NEW TABLE AS REPLACEMENT TO GET IT PERFECTLY RIGHT! DEFINITELY HAVE HAD A LOVELY EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH THEM AND WOULD RECOMMEND BUYING FROM PERIGOLD AGAIN IN THE FUTURE. Athena. Wake Forest, NC. Fri Apr 24 2026

The Driftwood Executive Desk is designed for the kind of home office that feels collected over years rather than completed all at once. Its substantial silhouette, expressive wood character, natural knots, worm holes, and dry distressed surface recall furniture with a history, while custom round cast knobs provide a subtle note of refinement. The character of the Driftwood Executive Desk takes on a distinct expression through three thoughtfully developed finishes. Buckboard, a light brown finish, captures the quiet warmth of sun faded oak, lending the piece a lighter, more relaxed elegance. Worn Saddle, a warm brown finish, introduces the deep, burnished character of supple leather and hand tooled heirlooms, creating a sense of warmth and history. Burnt Timber, a nuanced black brown finish, brings a darker perspective, evoking the quiet drama of wood softened by time and touch. Thoughtful modern function lies just beneath the surface. Seven drawers include specialized storage for files and everyday office essentials, along with interchangeable mouse pad and pencil trays, removable partitions, and a drop front center drawer for keyboard use. Smart Wire management keeps technology discreet, while two doors on the visitor side conceal adjustable shelving and allow the desk to look beautifully composed from every perspective. More than simply a place to work, the Driftwood Executive Desk helps create a room with a sense of permanence and personality. Surrounded by books, art, and objects gathered along the way, it becomes part of the life of the home, a place for ideas, conversations, and everyday rituals that grow richer with time.

Beautiful desk, easy to set up. Enjoying it. Jim. NY. Tue Feb 04 2025

A magnificent giant who roams the earth with so much gentility. In Asian culture, elephants are an enduring symbol of strength and longevity. Our Babar collection captures the characteristics of this largest land animal—Sturdy. Delicate. Part cabinet, part study, the impressive frame of Babar is wrapped with a unique weaving pattern inspired by the texture of the elephant’s skin. This beautiful desk made of rattan, cork, wood, and steel, opens to multiple shelves and compartments. To add a bit of play, Babar’s tail, made of coconut fibers, is a soft, natural, dust broom. Create a natural habitat in your home for this four-legged friend and find inspiration in your own work corner with Babar.

Midcentury meets Shaker. Made from solid acacia and finished in a light, smoked honey, with an arched cradle base. Vary-sized drawers bring generous storage space to the home office.

Attractiveness 5 stars. Functionality 0 stars. Drawers are sticky, thus the round pulls are worthless for getting the drawers open. File cabinet hardware is set for legal sized folders. There could have been a simple solution, a small slit in the metal hanging devices that would accommodate letter sized folders, but no - very poor design. Also, the file drawers only open about 1/2 way, so files in the back are hidden. And, the drawer guides are extremely poor given the weight of the drawers. Save your money, as this desk was expensive! Keep looking and try other sites rather than Josh and Main! Also, the matching book case finally came with one of the doors broken. I requested a new door, was told it would be "coming soon" , but as I write this review the "coming soon" was about 15 days ago. So much for customer service!?!. Candace. Ellensburg, WA. This is a lovely piece of furniture. The wood is beautiful and tranquil. My desk is currently in the living room, and I wanted a piece that would work there. The construction is solid. Surface is big enough to have a lot of my project piles, and still room to work. keyboard drawer works fine. It took considerably longer to delivery than was expected, but it was a few months into the pandemic, so I don't know if that is typical. This desk will move with me to my "forever" home.. Dkn.
