These stools are much nicer in person than in the photos. The finish and overall look feel more substantial and refined. They’re actually quite comfortable even without the pillows, which surprised me. Since they’re primarily for show and occasional use in our home, I prefer the cleaner look without ties. That said, when we have company staying and the stools get more frequent use, I’ll likely add the pillows for extra comfort. These bar stools are beautiful and sturdy. The rush seats, however, were not tan in color as depicted in the photos and were a yellowish color instead. A furniture refinisher was able to stain the rush to the color depicted in the photos, and I couldn’t be happier. I looked at others when shopping but always came back to these.
