Delivery great, the guys set up the chest and put it right where I wanted it. Great piece

I do like the cabinet, but 3 problems: This is advertised with "white glove delivery." On the day of delivery I learned that the cabinet was too complicated for the delivery people to put it together so we had to do it. 2) The assembly instructions were some of the worst I've ever seen. It used the words chair, stool, chaise and cabinet interchangeably for the cabinet I was putting together. 3) THIS IS A BIG ONE - The "damping device and gas lift" provided to help open the lid and hold it open, simply does not work. After a few attempts myself I asked a friend who is an engineer to look at it and no luck. I've had to do without that part. The cabinet is attractive and I'm using it but the experience could have been better.

The individual pieces are well made and quality craftsmanship. The directions however are a joke... Although this was a sideboard the directions refer to a chair and a stool. Several of the parts shown in the directions are not included and are not necessary anyway. The hinges were installed on the wrong piece for easy assembly and had to be taken off and placed on the top piece so that they can be easily fitted to the base... No instructions are even a diagram on how to do this. The diagram only shows one hinge although there are actually three. Anyone without a little shop logic would not be able to put this together. Great item, terrible directions.
