This item is extremely well-made, very sturdy, and the woodwork is impressive.

The doors are very interesting. I expected a a veneer based on the description, but they appear hand carved. Its a heavy piece, solid wood. The finish (unfinished outside, painted inside) on the piece has a bit of a funny smell. The wood is unfinished and very light (picture is accurate), it's unclear what type of polish or care I can use on it to clean (some dusty residue on it). More detailed care instructions would be helpful update: Don't use furniture polish. I applied polish to clean the dust and remove the smell. It appears the finish was some sort of white wash and was mostly stripped off the piece which is now a dirty natural color rather than a faded white

Horrible. Legs were bent so it was uneven. Trying to get it picked up has been a ridiculous process. So disappointed

Soft color, soft wood, looks like. Has a soft feel. Perfect for where I have it.
