This console is gorgeous. Easy to put together, sturdy, with a good heft. Getting lots of compliments on it. One note of caution, the top scratches pretty easily. We slid a plastic laundry basket and it left scratches, not deep but scratches that were noticeable at certain angles. I applied a layer of lacquer on the top and that got rid of the scratch and made the table much easier to maintain.
