The two-seater spoke-back sofa is not only one of the most iconic furniture in the classic Danish design tradition, it also offers cosy, practical seating for the best moments of the day. The design is timeless in the best sense of the word, and there are lots of ways of varying the look with cushions. Erik Ole Jorgensen’s range of spoke-back furniture is from 1978 and makes clear references to the other great designers who laid the foundations of FDB Mobler. Erik Ole Jorgensen had a background as both an upholsterer and a furniture designer, and perhaps this is why the interaction between cushions and furniture is especially successful here.
