The combination tray and table called Bakketop ("Hilltop") provides a splendid example of how FDB Mobler blends design, craftsmanship and functionality to produce products that are far more than the sum of their parts. Perfectly suited to the bedside or the end of a sofa, Bakketop also works well as a freestanding piece of furniture. It was originally designed for Snedkernes Efterarsudstilling (Cabinetmakers’ Autumn Exhibition) in 2018, and the young carpenter Mathias Juul Overvad gets the credit for its highly detailed woodworking.
