Great side board! Very sturdy and well made. Very substantial and the color is rich and pretty.

On the positive side, the design is nice and the storage capacity is great. On the negative side, the finish is very dark, totally obscuring the burl-like design on the doors. Also, the finish is so uniformly shiny that I feel it looks more like laminate than wood. There is a tiny spot on one of the rear corners where the veneer is peeled back, and the veneer is so paper thin that I would be afraid to try to lighten the finish. Some people may love having such a dominant piece of furniture, but I will probably paint it.
