Very big and substantial. Thick wood, with a deep grain. Fabric upholstery is a rough boucle-type fabric which is a little too rustic for me, but I will probably recover it if I can figure out how.

Love this bed! Incredible quality, and such a nice set with the matching end tables. Was sleeping on a metal frame while I waited for delivery and it’s crazy the difference in sleep quality .
