Bayberry by Chapman & Myers was designed based on the frame of an armillary sphere - which is an antique astronomical model used to depict the movements of the stars and sun. Each ring of the Bayberry pendant is based on a vintage armillary sphere model. Bayberry was designed with thin metal tubing, candles, and a weathered galvanized finish – giving it a light and airy feel.

Inspired by one of the largest asteroids in our solar system that continuously orbits the outer reaches of space. Its rocky form has been punished for billions of years since the early formation of our planets. Our glass artisans have recreated this celestial form using a unique technique of freehand glassblowing that creates a ghostlike illumination through the colored glass. Each handblown, sculptural piece is a unique work of contemporary art hanging from a canopy. Approximate blown glass drop dimensions: 5.5"W x 6.5"H.
