The inside serving area is glazed for design compliments and easy cleaning. The stoneware is manufactured from clay, quartz, and minerals such as calcite and is defined as a ceramic product. The stoneware is molded at very high temperatures using casting techniques. The high temperatures during the firing process make stoneware more stable than clay and less translucent than porcelain. Inspired by patterns from Portuguese cobblestone pavements, this collection created by the designer Manoela Medeiros is a special tribute to Lisbon.

This sugar bowl takes inspiration from the natural materials of sand, clay, and water. The shapes are soft and inviting with pleasantly rounded edges and a slightly rough surface in some areas and glazed in others. Stoneware is a group of ceramic products used to produce plates, dishes, cachepots, and bowls, molded at very high temperatures using special casting techniques. The high temperature during the firing process ensures stoneware is more stable than clay and less translucent than porcelain. The Butterfly Ginkgo collection celebrates the representation of flora as fauna. Michael's fascination with a particular type of ginkgo tree, the Ginkgo Biloba, or "Butterfly Ginkgo", which grows with a double leaf reminiscent of a butterfly's wings, gave rise to a fantasia image of the plant. Executed at the highest level of handcraftsmanship, each piece is rendered in solid brass with hand-etched cocoon-shaped vessels. The pieces in the collection are a tour de force of the handcrafted process, capturing the poetic spirit that is so deeply indicative of Michael's work.
