The Lovebirds Collection celebrates love and the deeply engrained nature in us all to bond with one another. The branch that the birds perch upon symbolizes growth and evokes tree of life imagery. The white, four-petaled flowers represent wholeness, unity, and innocence.

The gentle curves of the mirror bowl were initially inspired by the natural forms of cherry blossom petals. Translated into stainless steel, these become a bowl of deceptive simplicity where the sculptural form and dazzling surface require no extra embellishment. The dish makes a striking table centerpiece or can be used to hold fruit or bread. Helle Damkjær’s travels to Japan lead to her designing the series of bowls, dishes, and spoons for Georg Jensen. The results are a winning combination of natural shapes, Scandinavian minimalism, and superb craftsmanship. The mirrored bowl is created from stainless steel with a high shine polished finish.

The collection celebrates the representation of flora as fauna. Michael's fascination with a particular type of ginkgo tree, the Ginkgo Biloba, or "Butterfly Ginkgo", which grows with a double leaf reminiscent of a butterfly's wings, gave rise to a fantasia image of the plant. Executed at the highest level of handcraftsmanship, each piece is rendered in solid brass with hand-etched cocoon-shaped vessels. The pieces in the collection are a tour de force of the handcrafted process, capturing the poetic spirit that is so deeply indicative of Michael's work. "The first time I saw this tree, it looked like it had been completely overtaken by butterflies... as if they would all take flight the moment I walked too close or made a noise. The idea that the leaves could evoke the beauty of butterflies was magical to me, like trees that can metamorphose from flora to fauna in the blink of an eye."

The popular Bloom mirror bowl takes its inspiration from cherry blossoms in full bloom. The delicate and soft contours of the flowers informed the designer Helle Damkjær as she created a now-classic bowl, that is perfectly suited for presenting delicious fruits. It works beautifully as a centerpiece on a table, perhaps holding fruit or bread. Born into the Swedish royal family, Sigvard Bernadotte was one of Georg Jensen’s earliest collaborators. His love of both sophisticated aesthetics and rigorous functionality makes him a key figure in the history of Scandinavian design and his Bernadotte collection has proved timeless. Masterfully crafted in stainless steel, the dish has a bright mirror-polished surface that accentuates the elegant fluted surface.
