As a result of the climatic conditions of southern Europe the lemon has become a symbol of Mediterranean culture. As a continuation of the vegetable and fruit collection by Bordallo Pinheiro, there is this collection of juicy and colorful watermelons. The collection includes bowls, fruit bowls, cake plates, and presentation plates, these pieces replicate the fruit through irregularities in the shapes, the texture of the fruit pulp, the details on the seeds, and the bright colors and painting on the pieces.
