The Upcycle Pouf is upholstered using a supply of surplus jute bags previously used to transport organic coffee beans. The durable bags, which would otherwise be thrown away, have been repurposed to make an original accent piece. The jute features graphic stencils and logos which identified the original goods, making each ottoman completely unique.
To be honest, at first I was a little disappointed when my daughter first received the ottoman. We had assumed it was going to look similar to the ottoman in the picture; say "Fair Trade" on it, have the different colors that would have gone with her room, and have the print on more sides than the one we received. The ottoman we received was still cool, but the print was only on the top and one side. It's still cooler looking than purchasing an ordinary ottoman and it adds a punch of a different color to her room now. So we are still happy with it. Thank you.. Giela. Menomonee Falls, WI.
