Pink is a difficult glaze to fire evenly, which makes this pink vase more of an achievement than it first appears. Legend of Asia finishes the fishtail vase in a powdery blush pink that stays consistent from foot to flared rim, with only the faint variation that hand work always leaves behind. The silhouette does the rest: a slim waist opening into a fanned mouth that frames a single branch beautifully. High fired in southern China, the porcelain vase is dense and watertight, so the ceramic vase takes fresh water without worry. At floor vase scale it anchors a console, hearth or corner and makes soft entryway decor beside brass or pale wood.
