The Artist, David Keochkerian, lives in Somme, France. He has a Ph.D. in human physiology and works in the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation. He’s been practicing photography for 5 years now, although he fell into the cauldron when he was a child: his father is now a retired photographer. He grew up with the smell of chemicals and the shutter snap and purr of his roller transport print processor. “I like to capture the fleeting, the subtle, the beautiful, the rare, the spectacular, the staggering… to reveal how the daily and the ordinary can be filled with enthusiasm.” His work is very heterogeneous. Austin Beiv grew up in the tough streets of Brooklyn, where the expression of one’s self was usually done through wall tagging, or as we say in Italian, "graffito." He was influenced by many different artists, particularly Fernando Carlo, who was well known for his expressive graffiti. The influence from his childhood is where the edge and contemporary look come from in his art pieces. Austin graduated from Pratt Institute in the early ’90s and now travels all over America to look for inspiration, whether it’s a tagged wall or an art museum. Guseul Park was born and raised in Korea and studied ceramics in college; however, she was always drawn to painting and drawing and is a self-taught artist. “Art means meditation to me. By creating art, I get to go explore the deepest side of me and examine my state of mind. It always brings me to a state of pure joy. Jakob Wagner was born in 1985 in Herdecke, Germany. In summer 2008, he successfully completed his three-year apprenticeship as a photographer. Artist Richard Silver is from New York, but to him, home is where his camera is. Richard’s love for travel has afforded him many opportunities to shoot different cities and cultures. He loves iconic architecture, whether ancient or modern, and is always focused on documenting beautiful structures in each new city he visits. Richard loves using techniques such as tilt-shift, HDR, vertical panoramas, and time slices to present our everyday world in an altered visual context.

Amy Humphries is a self-taught photographer who began experimenting with photography when she was 15 with a small, inexpensive point-and-shoot camera she had saved up for with babysitting money. She was inexperienced and didn’t know what she was doing, only that she loved the process of photography and the fact that you could evoke a specific feeling from an image. Gradually, Amy began to learn more of the technical side of photography, but the majority of her knowledge of photography came solely from trial and error. She feels that photography is mostly a way to document a particular time, place, and feeling. It allows her to essentially make memories tangible, in the way that she’s actually experiencing it at the moment that she creates the image. Her hopes are that if that feeling can translate to others that view her work, it would be icing on the cake.
