This Legend of Asia baozi vase takes its name from the folded steamed bun, and soft pleats gather around its shoulder to give a tall column a tactile, hand pinched crown. Covering the entire surface is a fine crackle glaze, a deliberate kiln effect that fractures the celadon into a hairline web so the green vase carries the look of a long held heirloom. It is the tallest of the crackle family and a true statement vase, a tall vase able to fill an empty corner or flank a fireplace without a pedestal. The porcelain vase is hand shaped and high fired in southern China, dense and impervious to water and weather.
