The artist, D’Alessandro Leon, was the youngest of three brothers. When art competitions were a form of play for the brothers, it later grew to his obsession. D’Alessandro attended the Art Institute of California where he explored mixing mediums as well as digital. He also attended illustration, Sculpting and Fine Art workshops. After spending long periods of time studying different techniques, D’Alessandro’s art became increasingly influenced by artists from the early 1900’s. During D’Alessandro’s studies he painted many different themes. He painted with restless intensity, often painting from morning until night. British artist JP Kilkenny employs a multitude of mediums in order to achieve his final image. He works between figurative and abstract using a variety of layering techniques from collage, transfers from his own photos to endless over-painting. Having traveled extensively since childhood, JP pulls a lot of imagery and inspiration from the memorabilia and sketchbooks he has collected along his journey.

Artist Tommy Kwak’s work explores the transience of landscapes and natural forms through ethereal large-format color photographs. His work has been shown in New York City and Iceland. He earned a BFA in graphic design from California College of the Arts in 2002 and completed photography courses at the International Center of Photography from 2006 to 2008. In 2010 and 2016, Tommy participated in the SIM Residency program in Reykjavik, Iceland, as well as the international arts festival, Villa Reykjavik. Tommy grew up outside of Chicago, lived and worked in Brooklyn, NY for 13 years, and now resides in Montclair, NJ.

Austin Beiv grew up in the tough streets of Brooklyn where the expression of one’s self was usually done through wall tagging, or as they say in Italian, "graffito." He was influenced by many different artists, particularly Fernando Carlo, who was well known for his expressive graffiti. The influence from Austin’s childhood is where the edge and contemporary look comes from in his art pieces. After graduating from the Pratt Institute in the early ’90s, he now travels all over America to look for inspiration, whether it’s a tagged wall or an art museum. I was very disappointed in the condition of the picture when it had arrived. There was no packaging to secure the print in the box, so the picture arrived with broken glass (spilling out on the floor), damaged frame and damaged print. The artist, David Brown, studied and received his fine arts training at California State University of Long Beach and graduated with a BFA in drawing and painting in 2018. As a child, he watched his older brother draw and recalls wanting to draw just like him when he grew up. David currently lives in Long Beach, California, and has been lucky to show his work in multiple group shows and a few solo shows, mostly based in the Los Angeles area. His traditional work includes oil, charcoal, and graphite. He is strongly influenced by Renaissance, Baroque, and a lot of today’s contemporary work. David’s work is predominately focused on the human figure. "People are my inspiration. I love learning people’s stories and try to capture the sitter’s narrative through my drawings/paintings. I love drawing people from life, I feel that my work focuses on the relationship between artist and model". His art is his one true passion and he believes that, "artists are super sensitive and emotional human beings, our work is a physical representation of our thoughts and emotions, a diary that we choose to share with the world".

Artist Janice Sadler was born in Los Angeles, California, and knew from a young age that she wanted to be an artist. Even then, she used art to express her feelings and kept records of events in her life through drawings and paintings. She attended California College of the Arts in San Francisco and, upon graduation, devoted all of her time to making her dream of a career in art come true. Janice currently resides in downtown San Diego and enjoys the creative freedom she experiences from the cool local art scene.
