These vintage sea glass beads from Legend of Asia are made the slow way: discarded bottles are broken down, tumbled until the edges soften, and drilled by hand one piece at a time before being strung into a generously long strand. The result is recycled glass that reads as genuine beach glass, with the cloudy surface and pale aqua depth collectors look for. Because the work is hand made in West Africa, size and color vary gently along the strand, so no two runs of blue beads match. Coil the glass beads into a footed bowl as a bowl filler, drape them across a tray for casual table decor, or loop them over a lamp base. The soft, weathered finish of these decorative beads suits coastal decor, beach decor and layered neutral interiors alike.
These beads are beautiful, the sapphireindigo color is stunning! I did try unwrapping the rope to make it easier to use, but it seems as though it would unravel and ruin the bead strand. I have mine with another stand of sea glass beads in a grayishbrown color in a Cooper bowl. You won’t be disappointed, it’s a great product.. Renee. Marcellus, NY. Mon Jul 04 2022
