I am so disappointed in the item I received. My painting doe not look remotely like the painting pictured online. Instead of the complex mixture of dark blues, light blues and grays that I was expecting, I got a cheap-looking version that is 50% dark blue, 50% champagne with random dabs of gold in the middle. To spare myself the significant delay in time to get another picture, I removed the frame and throwing it away and hung the picture up without a frame. What a waste. Austin Beiv grew up in the tough streets of Brooklyn, where the expression of one’s self was usually done through wall tagging—or, as we say in Italian, "graffito." Austin was influenced by many different artists, particularly Fernando Carlo, who was well known for his expressive graffiti. The influence from Austin’s childhood is where the edge and contemporary look of his art pieces originates. After graduating from Pratt Institute in the early ’90s, Austin now travels all over America to look for inspiration, whether it’s a tagged wall or an art museum.
