I love almost everything Michael Adam makes. This took some time to adjust to, admittedly. It was larger and gaudier than I expected from the photo. And the butterflies looked like insects. The Wildflowers collection is a celebration of often overlooked, disregarded, and underappreciated flowers. The inspiration for Wildflowers came from the discovery of a set of 19th-century hand-tinted, botanical illustrations which, over time, had faded to muted, dusty tones. Touched by how beautifully each wildflower had been rendered in the antique drawings, Aram took great care to capture and recreate the naturalistic movement and gentle hues in hand-enameled and sculpted metal. Uncultivated by definition, Wildflowers, as interpreted by Aram, reflect the ideal of "perfectly imperfect" and capture a sense of carefree innocence in the fleeting joyfulness of nature.
