The world is connected in a myriad of intricate ways by the formless dao - a way of existing in the world…like an emotion or a conscious perception. Fish come from oceans, rivers, and ponds to meet upon this hulu gourd. In pursuit of the heart’s dao, people come together and relationships are formed. In China, this is called yuan, a word akin to fate or destiny. Here two fish meet and look toward the same future, in harmony with each other and the times. From the front, the fish appear in delicate relief. From the back, the high-polish and engraved surface implies the presence of deep waters. Front and back together cleverly the internal and external qualities of existence and non-existence.

Lotus leaves symbolize harmony, goldfish means abundance and good luck, this design creates an elegant movement of pure beauty in life. Two fish are presented in negative carving, but the polished surface on lotus leaves is used to show their movement and expression in the water. The process of sculpting is particularly complicated. The sculpture of the fish and the positioning need to be done prior to the prototype, then join two fish sculptures on the prototype with reiteration on the details of the junction being smooth and organic.

They remind us that the past is understood through learning, and the present is understood through cultivation. This gives us a grasp of the future and releases us from apprehension. The tradition of an ornamented drinking vessel comes to life with this highly embellished artwork of an elephant-flanked crystal chalice art piece. Titled, “Full of Prosperity and Honor around,” the glasswork possesses a complete balance of design in its symmetry and the use of contrasting textures: While the rounded base is decorated in rich floral reliefs, it slopes gently upwards in a smooth polish, providing a soft background for the central pieces that emerge from the artwork. Here, a metaphorical toast is raised to prosperity and honor—forever solidifying the sentiment in an act and ritual of paying respect.

Azure Dragon represents the element wood, the eastern direction, the spring season. Ascent of the visionary can be looked at as two halves. The upper half features a tiger ascending a mountain to overlook the animals and life below it, overflowing with light. The realistic three-dimensional sculpture brings the animal to life. It is the epitome of a classic garden design element: water turns according to the mountain, and the mountain lives for the water. In the lower half, Liuli designers joined elements of mountain and water in an innovative expression. Bring this sculpture into the home or office to add an element of carefree joy. This design expresses itself in both realism and classicism and makes an ideal gift for international friends. It is also a fitting gift for someone who has received a promotion, mentors, or elders. The vermillion bird represents the element fire, the color vermilion red, the southern direction, and summer. The Shan Hai Jing describes the phoenix as being born on Dan Mountain. Also called the Dan Phoenix. The phoenix also refers to one of exceptional talent and was born in a south-facing valley at the South Pole, and symbolizes talent and lofty aspirations. The vermillion bird is said to bring prosperity, progeny, and peace. Vermilion red is also a celebratory color in traditional Asian culture for weddings and new business openings. This piece is an ingenious juxtaposition of detail and sparseness, color and transparency, space and form. The vermillion bird appears like the blazing sun, distant yet near, forever shining, representing our deepest wishes. The nature of glass transports the light and presents a space for imagination to spark. Associated with the four quadrants of the vault of heaven is the Azure dragon of the East, the Vermillion bird of the South, the white tiger of the West, and the black tortoise of the North; in the center is the Qilin (unicorn). The standalone crystal flower piece from the Peaceful Existence collection is a curious and seemingly diminutive variety of flower presented in glasswork. Its charming disposition declares its own uniqueness. The moth orchid, sculpted here in vivid hues of red with golden undertones, is believed to accompany the arrival of good fortune in classic Chinese literature. The flower is contrasted with its base—a lovingly familiar shape reminiscent of the full moon, and in full bloom, it mimics a moth under a light opening its wings to take flight. The messenger of good luck and fortune is polished to perfection and boasts immaculate color-placement techniques that are signature of LIULI studio artisans. Viewing oneself through flowers and the world through a vase is an ancient Chinese philosophy. Through the purity of the moth orchid, we see the intrinsic goodness of the heart.

All Is Beauty captures the moment when abundance quietly takes form. As a butterfly comes to rest, fullness has already arrived—without sound, without display. Grapes gather along a gently arched vine, bending beneath their own richness, a graceful gesture of happiness overflowing that symbolizes prosperity, family unity, and blessings that deepen with time. The simple, rounded base represents life itself—grounded, complete, and unadorned—while the butterflies arrive as gentle messengers of good fortune, natural, unforced, and perfectly timed. Together, they suggest a life embraced by happiness rather than seeking it. Here, beauty does not announce itself; it reveals itself slowly through patience and harmony. In this quiet convergence of fruit, light, and life, All Is Beauty expresses a softly unfolding happiness—where abundance ripens in silence, and grace settles naturally into the heart.

The Crystal French Bulldog, titled “Heads Up!”, is LIULI's first US-only design, limited to 100 pieces nationwide. The Beauty of Harmony is small in size, but its diminutive form holds unbounded wisdom. This crystal paperweight continues a LIULI tradition of combining the Taiji symbol (yin-yang symbol) with the head of a dragon. Here, the dragon's body is drawn into a circle to represent the cycle of yin and yang, harmony, peace, and wisdom. Its head is intricately detailed with a tendril motif. The design echoes that of China's "first dragon," a jade artifact from the kingdom of Hongshan. The glimmering amber and subtle coloration yield a powerful, enigmatic effect as only liuli can.

Guan Gong was a famous general in the Three Kingdoms period (220–280 CE). In light of his bravery, wisdom, and military prowess—all graphically recorded in the Annals of the Three Kingdoms—later emperors awarded him various posthumous titles, including that of duke (gong). He is also widely seen as a model of Confucian virtues, especially benevolence, justice, courtesy, wisdom, faith, loyalty, righteousness, and courage. His many exploits have been handed down and extolled from generation to generation, culminating in his apotheosis during the Sui dynasty (581–618 CE). In Chinese Buddhist temples, he is venerated as the bodhisattva Guan Di, one of the principal protectors of the Dharma. In Daoism, he is venerated as the Guan Sheng Emperor. He is also worshipped as the God of War, and as a tutelary deity of wealth and literature. In this large piece cast in burgundy, Guan Gong is depicted as the heroic God of War, mounted on the famous horse Red Hare. Gripping his glistening half-crescent spear, the “green dragon crescent blade,” the majestic Guan Gong is clad in armor and clutches his beard with his left hand. The vivid depth of detail in his facial expression, armor, and mount lends the entire piece a lifelike appearance. The flowing cloak and flying mane imbue the work with dynamic energy. The base supporting the horse is in a flower-cloud motif. Guan Gong’s gilded spear is made of composite metal and inlaid with zircon, and is held in place by nothing but its own weight. This sculpture is the first image of Guan Gong on horseback produced by LIULI and gives full expression to the awe-inspiring bearing of this celebrated figure of Chinese culture and history.

The classic peacock in Chinese art is a theme often represented in narratives pertaining to benevolence and beauty. It is a symbol of opulence, of a richness beyond wealth but in heart and virtue. Indeed, as referenced in “The Lost Book of Zhou,” these virtues symbolized by the animal are: Loyalty, trust, respect, strength, gentleness, stability, purity, and fluidity. Here, studio artists chose to emphasize that internal beauty by crafting the sculpture in negative relief. The elegant feathers of the birds fan out, radiating an effulgence from within that is encapsulated in one indelible message of the true richness of a beautiful and radiant heart.

In this exquisitely balanced crystal glass piece, many contrasts come into play as a vibrant and glowing art statement radiates with taste. Unique color blends (varying with every individual piece) contrast almost as sharply as the juxtaposed shapes and lines in the piece’s composition. Historically pervasive motifs of juxtaposing circles and squares are reminiscent of a Far East cultural aesthetic, while the central figures are sculpted in negative relief, hinting at grand opportunities and riches lying just beneath the surface. Represent hidden potential and riches that await, this art piece is the perfect gift in wishing someone great profit and wealth.

Two phoenixes sound off in pursuit of an ideal spiritual companion. Lofty in character, the phoenix soars suspended in mid-air. The phoenix is the messenger of light, it symbolizes love, harmony. As the bearer of luck, auspiciousness, and fortuitous love, the image of the phoenix is widely used as a blessing for a fulfilling and harmonious marriage. Within this rich and complex symbolism, the phoenix rises, in search of and creating an ideal world bursting with life and color. Of beauty, kindness, and rebirth, may the phoenix’s divine spirit and beautiful legend bless this world with unlimited auspiciousness and fortune. Vivid details of two phoenixes’ wings and gazes were made possible because of the pate de Verre technique. Looking at each other in grace posture and gentle gaze, two phoenixes paint a vision of harmony. The high polished base design sparks a modern, yet timeless moment of love.

This art deco piece from the studios of LIULI Crystal Art comes from a collection of four mythical creatures — each correlating to a compass direction. With a deep background in Chinese cultural symbolism, the bird seen here in “Guardian of the South – Splendor of the Vermillion Bird” also called ‘Zhuniao’, refers to the phoenix. It is said to have the ability to be reborn from the fire, just like the immortal bird in western mythology, so it is also named fire phoenix. In Chinese legend, Zhuque is said to have a chicken’s head, swallow’s chin, snake’s neck, fish’s tail, and five-color feather. In ancient China, there are four mythical creatures with godly power which protect us from all devils and evil spirits. Azure Dragon, White Tiger, Vermillion Bird, and Black Tortoise; Azure Dragon is the guardian of the East, White Tiger is the guardian of the West, Vermillion Bird is the guardian of the South, Tortoise is the guardian of the North.

The circular polished center is the focal point of the design. It is like the surface of a clear pool, and also like a magnifying glass that shows two fish’s movements. It seems two fish are swimming together leisurely, and enjoying their respective joy at the same time. From the front view, it’s when you dive into the water and watch fish swim and see everything clearly from the seafloor- the Taihu rock stands up tall, fish swims in between; on the other hand, the polished surface recreates an experience of viewing from atop of the water. These two perspectives were combined into one design, making the artwork more interesting to view. In a nutshell, when appreciating things from different perspectives, we may be able to release ourselves from boundaries or physical limits and reach intellectual freedom. Joyful harmony a majestic mountain, a limpid pool, the heart is limitless. Like a shadow to the form, the sun and moon mirror each other in joyful harmony.

This design depicts the dragon in natural repose as it winds around to form a taichi and conveys its power. The dragon’s head emerges with a persistent gaze as it safeguards the natural order in a way only it can command. Liuli absorbs and reflects light across varying sculptural depths and polished surfaces to convey the dragon’s internal power. The design as a whole is built upon Daoist philosophy: From taichi, two complementary forces are born; from two complementary forces, four aggregates are born; from four aggregates, eight trigrams are born. This is also symbolic of the dragon - a mythical beast that unites all with the power of the sun under the natural order. In the vast universe, the sun is the source of all life. This lifelike pineapple design of the LIULI Enrich collection pays homage to the richness of fertile land and the blessings that come with it. In “Flying High,” jagged leaves shoot upward in an ambitious attempt to stand bold. Chinese tradition has always associated pineapples with great luck. Because of its bold appearance and delectable fruit, the pineapple is an irreplaceable part of agriculture that represents both robustness and fruitfulness. From top to bottom the pineapple is splendid and robust. It matures gradually and thoughtfully, a reflection of the wisdom of this land. Sharp green leaves point forcefully upward; peel back the tough armour to reveal a sweet and supple interior. The design is lifelike, in praise of life. Leaves - layered and upward reaching, each liuli frond carefully sculpted, the highest point representing the zenith of life. Fruit - in layers with the bottom half in high polish, conveying the simplicity that comes with age and maturity. Many Chinese equate the pineapple with luck. As a classic fruit of fortune, place this design within the home to encourage strength of character and luck in life and business. The pineapple symbolizes a person of upright and determined character, a person who advances with courage in both love and business. The black pineapple is a symbol of love.
