This collection for Rosenthal reflects the original Ming Dynasty vases, frozen in a digital time loop. A mixture of collective memories and futuristic abstraction, it symbolises the cultural changes that have been triggered by digital technology. The speed of information processing, the rate at which it becomes obsolete and the way it breaks with convention. This is expressed by the metaphorical decorations on the vase, while, sculptured by highly technical tools, the vase also summarises 500 years of human manufacturing. A fascinating interpretation of social changes during our era and a further excellent design object of the Rosenthal studio-line.
