Artist Commentary: **This award winning painting has won awards and recognition in national and international shows including the prestigious '35th International Association of Pastel Societies' show (IAPS Juried 2019 International Exhibition) and the Central Massachusetts Pastel Societies "First National Juried Exhibition." "Summer's Splash" and also ranked as a "Favorite 15%" in FASO's BoldBrush International Painting Competition, September 2019.** This is one of my all-time favorite waves. I was on a roll (literally and figuratively) and just couldn't seem to stop painting waves one summer. Between each wave painting I started exploring a few other subjects but I kept coming back to waves and water, leaving unfinished paintings on my easel and eventually putting them away for a rainy day. I just couldn't stop painting waves and "Summer's Splash" is the outcome of my obsession.
