Artist Commentary: I have painted this scene many times and I could honestly paint it dozens more. Each time I paint it I find new ways to express what I see, be it from a color perspective or composition. I took the photo reference for this while driving between Utah and Wyoming. I was on an RV trip and visiting the national parks as I made my way from Boston to Los Angeles.
