Artist Commentary: A young girl on a rope swing is set against a blue sky and great, big, puffy clouds, clearly enjoying the moment as she swings ever higher. This painting represents my own personal quest to avoid any more COVID-19 related paintings. Instead, I wanted to do something bright, something fun, something that brought back memories of when I was a kid. A rope swing seemed like a natural fit and I decided it would be cooler not to have any frame of reference for the swing - just the girl and the swing, set against the sky.
