Artist Commentary: **This painting is professionally framed in a 2" warm silver frame with conservation glass and backing** I really love the process and complexities of painting marsh and estuary scenes. These paintings require a keen eye toward rules of perspective, color harmony, accuracy with water reflections and more. There is a real yin and yang to these types of landscapes. Often one part of the painting comes together but then requires another section of the painting to be adjusted. When I first started painting marsh and estuary scenes I didn't enjoy them and struggled to paint what I was seeing. After years of painting them they are now among my favorite landscapes to paint. In fact, if I could live anywhere, I would want to have a marsh or estuary in my backyard so I could paint it in every season and wake up to the sounds of the birds and insects that call it their home.
