She is often inspired by the artworks of Audubon, Merian, and Gould, and a Chinoiserie influence frequently appears in her pieces. Allison paints with a loose, layered hand and finishes each work with intricate hand-painted details. Allison Cosmos holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida, and currently lives and paints in Hockessin, Delaware.
