Guseul Park was born and raised in Korea and studied ceramics in college; however, she was always drawn to painting and drawing and is a self-taught artist. To her, art means meditation. By creating art, she gets to explore the deepest side of herself and examine her state of mind. Creating art has always brought her to a state of pure joy; it is the place in which she can truly be herself. Her favorite medium to use is a pencil, which she describes as “back to basics” art. She finds inspiration in daily strolls and travel. She also enjoys reading and embroidery when she is not creating new artwork.
