Born in Modesto and raised in Long Beach, California, artist Ryan Brown initially focused his college studies on business. While he took a few art courses, he is mostly self-taught, finding pleasure in studying the techniques of creators he admires and drawing from that influence to shape his own original pieces. Ryan believes that “Art is human creativity. It is meant to inspire and evoke emotion, just like music.” He finds his muse through everyday life, seeing each moment as an opportunity for creation. While Ryan enjoys experimenting with a variety of mediums, he prefers to work primarily with oils and charcoal.
