Guseul Park was born and raised in Korea and studied ceramics in college; however, she was always drawn to painting and drawing and is a self-taught artist. Art means meditation to her. By creating art, she gets to explore the deepest side of herself and examine her state of mind. This process always brings her a state of pure joy. It is the place in which she can be herself. Her favorite medium to use is a pencil, which she describes as “back-to-basics art.” She finds inspiration in daily strolls and travel. She also enjoys reading and embroidery when she is not creating new artwork.
