• Works on paper utilize the same scanning process as the Synograph, resulting in an immaculately detailed piece with all of the characteristics of the original work. Each piece is presented on premium archival, heavyweight, rag paper.
• Era: 1858 - 1928. From Rijks: Petronella Alida Goudkade, ‘Nurse Nelly', married the writer Ary Prins in 1894. Toorop may have made this portrait of her shortly before her wedding. Nelly worked as a parish nurse in a Hague hospital. Behind her is a vague fanciful pattern of birds. This type of portrait is one of the first of a long series that Toorop would continue to make in the following years.
• Jan Toorop was a Dutch-Indonesian painter, who worked in various styles, including Symbolism, Art Nouveau, and Pointillism. His early work was influenced by the Amsterdam Impressionism movement.
