• The reductive prints give the illusion of texture while maintaining the integrity of the original work of art. In other words - they are the flat version of an original. The key to our reductive print starts with the scan. The scanner captures all of the detail from the original. Every mark, brushstroke, fine line, smudge and incidental as well as the peaks and valleys of the piece are captured and reproduced to simulate the depth of the original when printed.
• Era: 1856-1936. Focusing on female portraiture and botanical imagery Marie Wandscheer was associated with artist Lizzy Ansignh and her group of all female post impressionist painters called the Amsterdamse Joffers.
• Framed in an antique style frame, created as a replication of a found vintage frame. The frame was selected to complement the artwork and place the work into a historical context.
• All artwork is printed, framed and finished in California.
