• The reductive prints give the illusion of texture while maintaining the integrity of the original work of art. In other words - they are the flat version of an original. The key to our reductive print starts with the scan. The scanner captures all of the detail from the original. Every mark, brushstroke, fine line, smudge and incidental as well as the peaks and valleys of the piece are captured and reproduced to simulate the depth of the original when printed.
• Era: 1641 - 1719. Born to a family of painters, Jan Weenix was trained to be a painter from his father. Jan Weenix was a member of the Utrecht Guild of Painters. His pieces are held in private collections around the world, collected by William Randolph Hearst and hanging in museums like the National Gallery in London.
• Artwork is wrapped around its stretcher bar and finished with antiqued tacks to match the style of finishing often seen on historical works of art.
