• The reductive prints give the illusion of texture while maintaining the integrity of the original work of art. In other words - they are the flat version of an original. The key to our reductive print starts with the scan. The scanner captures all of the detail from the original. Every mark, brushstroke, fine line, smudge and incidental as well as the peaks and valleys of the piece are captured and reproduced to simulate the depth of the original when printed.
• Era: 1807. From Rijks: Voogd was called the 'Dutch Claude', after the French painter Claude Lorrain, who was famous for his historical landscapes bathed in golden light. Voogd painted the gardens of the Villa Borghese in Rome late in the afternoon: the sun casts long shadows and the trees stand out sharply against the sky. Hikers enjoy the beautiful sunset.
