Based on a desire to bring Kähler's craftsmanship legacy and classic techniques up to date, Meyer Lavigne took the shapes of the vases from the archives and playfully created an authentic, artistic expression with even more depth and life thanks to the deep, rich glazes. Canvas is all about the brushstrokes and the intention behind them. You can clearly see that the vases are painted by hand, which lends an expressive, vibrant look. The gingerbread house is a real Christmas cake classic that comes in different versions in many countries. If you have once tried to embark on the art of cake making yourself, you will know that it is not quite that easy – but with Kahler Gingerbread you are sure of being a success and to top it all off, featuring extra Christmas spirit in your home with the light flowing out of the hand-carved windows of the lighthouse. The lighthouses come in two varieties and have a brown, matte exterior similar to gingerbread dough. They are decorated with white, shiny decorations and have a white roof-like glaze. With the new Astro sculptures from Kahler, the Danish sculptor Malene Bjelke has been inspired by Kahler's long history of figurines and has created 12 different zodiac sculptures that beautifully bring the design heritage from Kahler's historic ceramic workshop into the present day with a spiritual focus. All the zodiac figurines are made of white unglazed stoneware and stand in a silhouetted look. The raw expression helps to create dynamics in the figurines as naturalistic details so that they appear as sculptures that can be appreciated from all angles. Each Astro sculpture has been created with a descriptive word based on the values associated with each of the 12 different zodiac signs. The energy of the specific characteristics of the zodiac signs has been translated into the design of the figurines. For the Astro Aquarius sculpture, the word Originality influences the expression of the figurine's pose and helps describe the unique characteristics of this zodiac sign.

Beautiful new design from the Kähler Urbania line - all of which are stunning. The main photo is misleading, however. It is actually a cropped image of the item. I thought I was purchasing the 'FUNKIS' design from this Urbania line (attached photo), but this is the 'KLASSIK' model - which I already have.
