There is so much I can say, however I’ll try to be brief yet informative. I’m not a big “review” person but hope to help anyone avoid what I went through with mattress selections. I am on my 4th in 4 months. My previous two from years ago were Kingsdown. I, and everyone who slept on them raved about them. One was ultra plush double pillow top, the other Rhapsody plush. That being said, ALL mattresses are not made like they used to be. The Rhapsody was 15 years worn and yes, a bit of a sink in the middle, but still better than anything I’ve experienced nowadays. Almost sorry I let it go. I couldn’t find another Kingsdown but knew I wanted another innerspring, not memory foam. What they don’t tell you is almost all mattress companies have jumped on the memory foam trend and the comfort layers in innerspring, and I’m not talking hybrids, are memory foam. So all these reviews ripping on Kingsdown and other brands being terrible because of sink holes, do your research and understand what you are sleeping on. Memory foam sucks for those of us that don’t want to be stuck in a hole all night or feel like we are about to burst into flames because we slept in a heat tub! THAT was my first two Sterns & Foster attempts. Plush destroyed my lower back due to the memory foam and I was drenched nightly. So they sold me a firm. I am a lightweight (115 lbs) side sleeper who, by the book, would NOT need a firm. Bc there was no medium they gave me a firm “pillow top”...still memory foam, still sinkage for about 10 minutes followed by feeling like I was sleeping on a plank. Terrible pain all over my body. I fought HARD to get my money back, that’s NOT their policy. $3,000! I was fortunate. Next up was a highly rated “bed in the box”. I did weeks of research to avoid memory foam and get “latex” foam...Talalay to be specific. Bouncy, bouyant, no heat. However, I was allergic to the wool in the “all natural” mattress. Again, know your body and do your research. That went back and FINALLY I found Kingsdown Prime Owington Plush...ONLINE! I saved myself over $1,000 that I had gone over budget to try to get a great replacement for my Kingsdown...3 times! More money doesn’t mean a better mattress. So here we are, the Kingsdown review. I am thrilled to have this brand back in my home. However, I can honestly say this mattress would be better suited referred to as “medium plush”...and trust me, I know them all after this experience. It is not “plush”. Plush is typically a 3 on a 1-10. I’d give this a 4.5. What it is is moderately firm with a layer of softness. It works for me, as I have lower back issues and am older now so I could stand to use a bit more firmness and support. It is NOT hot and is very comfortable. It’s one of the models that does NOT have layers of memory foam. I don’t think people understand how much memory foam can work against you. Overall, I wish they made mattresses like they did a decade ago. As for the company, the mattress was delayed 2 weeks beyond the two estimated. My other had already been picked up, causing me to sleep on a platform bed with nothing but a blanket over wooden boards. Not fun, but some things are out of your control so I remained understanding. The delivery team of Murphy and O’Neil made up for this and contributes to the 5 star rating. It did arrive in a box, but that would not make it up the stairs to my apt so they had to unbox it and were VERY understanding and careful during the navigation of such a small space. Although this model is not the plushest of the plush, as I mentioned, it is a great, comfortable, supportive, well made mattress and I am thrilled to be back in a relationship with Kingsdown and grateful to Perigold for carrying it! After 4 months, since moving into my new space, I can FINALLY sleep well and not wake with pain all over my body...and not combust into flames!! Thank you. And good luck to all you mattress shoppers, it’s a grind these days...DO YOUR RESEARCH ...and remember, not all reviews are an accurate depiction. My bed in a box was NOTHING that all the review sites claimed it to be. Overpriced and not well made, so it worked out in my favor to be allergic to the wool! Hope this helps “someone”! Good looking mattress. Maybe a bit more firm than I was hoping but I have added a 2" topper. I wish the mattress came with handles on the sides.

Long search to find this beauty! Exceeds expectations but did have very high reviews on research. I’m going to purchase a second one soon.

The bed came package great in a large box. The no contact delivery was perfect. We haven’t set it up yet as we are waiting for the adjustable frame to arrive. But the quality is very nice. I will update with pics and a longer review when the frame arrives. Update the mattress is super comfortable like sleeping on a pillow. Highly recommend.

We got this for a spare bedroom. The mattress quality is great. It is definitely cooling, as stated. Definitely don’t wake up hot at night like with some mattresses. I do wish it were more plush. It is more on the firm side in my opinion. Overall very pleased.

Comfy! This mattress is quite nice. It was packed and wrapped well. It didnt have any type of odor - which Im sensitive to. The quilted top makes for an extra soft layer to enjoy, yet it firmness is still effective in the way it doesnt aggravate my back issues. I havent noticed any sweating effect, although its been rather warn outside. As pictured, Im designing my room and have chosen to create a high bed. This mattress allows me to climb up into it and sink into it very comfortably. Im going to preserve it by keeping a fluffy mattress protector over it - one that has the same quilted pattern - so I wont lose that extra feature. If it feels different, Id prefer to simply double of triple up on my fitted sheets, so I can enjoy the feeling of the mattress. Time will tell how long it stay intact, but based on the construction, it seems that itll last a long while. Im please.

We slept great! Body conforming mattress with support and just enough bounce to have fun. Our dog also approves and so does the cat! The tufting seems to offer extra circulation and the plush topper feels luxurious even without sheets. The plastic wrapping was strong and offered lots of extra protection in the shipping process. Mattress arrives in a large and strong cardboard box and the delivery was a nice experience.

Loving this mattress. I have this on my adjustable bed frame and it’s perfect. The mattress is the right amount of firmness, and the plush top gives the right amount of softness. There are some beds that sinks in too much. This mattress doesn’t give too easily and that’s what I like about it. It arrived as an actual mattress, not something that has been compressed by air. There was no wait time waiting to use it. -)

I purchased this full size mattress for my two toddlers to share. So far am very impressed with the quality and comfort. This mattress is lightweight and was very easy to un-package. It is thick and comfortable, no complaints.
